Tool guide
Laser cut SVG files with connected, cut-ready shapes
Describe an ornament, sign or panel and get one connected silhouette of closed shapes: no floating pieces, no thin slivers. This tool uses Cut-ready shapes, so the output drops straight into Glowforge, LightBurn or a vinyl cutter as a cut layer.
- 01
Describe the piece
Name the object, the scene inside it and how the parts connect. Mention a hanging hole or frame if you need one.
- 02
Check connections
Confirm every part touches the main body and inner cutouts are wide enough for your material.
- 03
Export and set up the cut
Export SVG, import it into Glowforge, LightBurn or Design Space and assign cut and engrave operations by layer.
Tips for better results
- Round ornaments and framed scenes stay connected more naturally than open compositions.
- Ask for bold bridges when cutting thin wood or acrylic.
- Scale the file to the real size before checking sliver widths against your kerf.
Example description
A round ornament with a mountain and pine tree scene, all parts connected, hanging hole at the top, suitable for laser cutting.

Does the file work in Glowforge and LightBurn?
Yes. Export SVG and import it directly. Closed shapes are recognized as cut paths, and you can assign engrave operations in the software.
What about vinyl cutters and Cricut?
The same closed shapes cut cleanly on Cricut and Silhouette machines. Keep the Cut operation in Design Space.
Can I add engraved lines inside the cut shape?
Generate the cut silhouette here, then generate interior linework with Single line SVG and layer both files in your cutting software.
